Why are fast diets harmful?

To date, many low-calorie diets have been invented, sharply limiting the amount of food intake and caloric intake, excluding certain foods from food. Their common feature is that they are not designed for a long term. When using such diets is very likely that the body after returning to the usual diet will not only return the lost weight, but will compensate for the damage twice.

The body is a simple creature. If a person seriously restricts daily intake of calories, then the brain decides that a hunger death is coming. It switches all systems into the regime of the most economical consumption of energy resources. Therefore, the weight may not go away at all, unless, of course, the diet is maintained for more than two weeks.

There are people with enormous willpower who stick to short-term diets for a long time, for six months or longer. Or even completely change their diet in accordance with the diet. Of course, they lose weight, but there will be more harm in this case than the benefit from euphoria at the sight of reflection in the mirror.

The fact is that for optimal functioning of the body all the necessary components are in the right proportion: proteins, fats, carbohydrates and essential vitamins. And practically in all fast diets their balance is seriously broken. If some brick of this chain systematically fails, sooner or later it will lead to disastrous consequences.
