Treatment for bronchitis is not only in taking medications: to speed up the separation of sputum and to remove the processes of inflammation help breathing exercises. Do you know how to do them? The technique of respiratory gymnastics is described in the instructions below.

How to do respiratory gymnastics

The main condition for the effectiveness of respiratory gymnastics is compliance with the rules for its implementation. The main recommendations include:

  • inhale through the nose intensively, and through the mouth - calmly and moderately;
  • exhales need to be made barely audible, slow and smooth;
  • training to hold in a comfortable position;
  • observe the duration of the gymnastics - 10-15 minutes;
  • breathing rhythm to maintain the score, both for the march.

Breathing exercises with bronchitis exist in several forms, one of them was developed by Professor Buteyko. At the heart he put a shallow breathing, in fact, in his opinion, deep breaths prevent the saturation of the lungs with oxygen. If during a gymnastics you feel disgust for her or a strong desire to breathe, do not worry - this is normal in the beginning of classes, you just have to endure it. Exercises by the Buteyko method is performed as follows:

  1. Exhale, then, holding your breath, make the head turns to the right and left sides, while looking up. When you feel that you can not already endure, exhale everything that is left in the lungs, and return to normal breathing.
  2. Attach the palm to the cheek. Breathing in and exhaling, hold your breath. With your palm, press down on your cheek so that resistance is felt.
  3. Put your hands on the back of your head, exhale through your nose. Apply pressure to the occipital part, do a thorough exhalation and return to normal breathing.
  4. As you exhale, pull your arms up, then rotate.

With bronchial asthma

Although physical activity is contraindicated in bronchial asthma, mild gymnastics will still benefit, but only in addition to medication. Be sure to observe several rules:

  • , when performing exercises, start breathing with your mouth to avoid getting the contents of the nasopharynx into the bronchi;
  • perform the exercise itself during a break between inspiration and exhalation, if there is congestion in the bronchi of the sputum during asthma;
  • breathes shallowly to prevent irritation of bronchial tissue;
  • perform gymnastics at least 2 times a day.

Gymnastics with asthma help clear the airways of accumulated mucus and sputum, increase their lumen. Thanks to it, the spasticity of the bronchi is restored, the muscular tissues and diaphragm become stronger. Gymnastics can include the following exercises:

  1. Immediately after awakening, staying in bed, lie on your back, bend your knees, pull them to your chest and exhale with your mouth. Do this until you feel tired.
  2. In a convenient position, close one nostril with your finger. Inhale with your mouth, and breathe out with your nostrils open.
  3. Take a container of water and a straw. Through the latter, first inhale, and then exhale, but already in a reservoir of water. Do about 10 minutes 5 times a day.
  4. Stand up straight, put your hands on the waist. On inhalation maximally inflate the stomach, strain it for a couple of seconds. After this, on a sharp exhalation, feel the relaxation of the abdominal muscles, and then pull it.

For the treatment of chronic bronchitis

With bronchitis, which has already passed into a chronic form, it is especially important to develop lungs, because the problem is stagnant processes. If there is no time for a full-time lesson, you can perform a quick and easy express breathing exercise:

  1. Take a ball of soft and fine rubber. Inflate it for a minimum of exhalations.
  2. Fold your lips with a tube, inhale deeply, and exhale after 2-3 seconds.
  3. Hold your nose with your fingers, try to inhale deeply through it. Exhale make your mouth.
  4. Sitting on the floor, stretch your legs forward. Put them together, inhale with your mouth, and then raise your hands through the sides. Exhale, while uttering the sound "s-s-s-s-s", and drop your hands.
  5. Take a pose while sitting in Turkish. Brushes squeeze into fists, lift up and exhale, not opening your lips and pronouncing the sound "pf-ff-f."

Respiratory gymnastics according to Strelnikova

Another variant of respiratory gymnastics was proposed by A.N.Strelnikova, who was a vocal coach. She believed that almost all diseases are the result of improper breathing, poor ventilation of the lungs, malfunction of the diaphragm and stagnant phenomena. Based on these assumptions, Strelnikova developed her own breathing gymnastics with bronchitis and even wrote a book on her.

To repeat its system of exercises it is recommended daily on 2 times - so it is possible to considerably facilitate the general condition. Respiratory gymnastics Strelnikova helps restore normal lung function, improve nasal breathing and facilitate inflammation. In addition, cough is facilitated, so that mucus starts to sputter away faster.

Exercises for breathing

The duration of the Strelnikova exercises should be at least 2 weeks. It is better to extend the course of treatment to 21 days. Among the basic exercises are the following:

  1. "Pump".Accept the starting position - stand up straight, hands freely pull down, body slightly move forward, as if you try to smell the flowers. Exhaling, get up, but without any tension. Repeat about 8-10 times, resting between approaches.
  2. "Hug your shoulders."This exercise is considered the most effective of the Strelnikova complex. Do it this way - take a comfortable pose, sitting or standing, arms bend at the elbows and lift to the level of the shoulders. On a sharp inspiration, you lead your hands as if you are trying to embrace yourself. Exhaling, plant them around. Do not strain your hands and try to keep them in parallel. Do 16 times, alternating with exhalation of the nose and mouth.
  3. "Eight".Accept the position as in the exercise "pump".Sharply breathing in your nose, hold your breath. If you hold this position, count up to 8 times as many times as you can. Do this exercise when you feel a large amount of accumulated sputum.

Breathing exercises for children

Breathing exercises will help with bronchitis and children, both preschoolers and adolescents, only you need to take into account the condition that it can be performed after an acute period. In addition to basic exercises that are boring for kids, you can offer them to inflate a couple of balls or let the soap bubbles go. Try to arrange competitions with sailboats in a large basin, where children will play the role of "breeze".For such an interesting lesson, 5-10 minutes will suffice, because a child with bronchitis will not be able to perform them for a long time. Among the main therapeutic exercises are the following:

  1. In the supine position on the back, stretch along the body of the hand. Inhaling, slowly raise them, and then lower them behind the head, stretch and take a position, as in the beginning of the exercise.
  2. Saving the same position, one hand is put behind the head, and the other - along the body. With arbitrary breathing, quickly change the position of the hands within 10-15 seconds. Do 3-4 of these cycles.
  3. Without changing the position, bend your legs, 1 minute perform movements similar to riding a bicycle.
  4. Turn over on the stomach, make an emphasis with your hands in front of yourself, inhale inhale in the lower back, and on exhalation take the initial pose. Do this exercise 5-6 times.
