To perform the procedure, you will need to do the following: grate the laundry soap on a fine grater, then dissolve 1 tbsp.a spoonful of this chips in 1 liter of warm water. After that, add 1 tbsp.spoon of turpentine and mix well.
Take a brush with artificial pile and with it, apply the prepared solution to the carpet. Leave on for a few minutes, then wipe the surface of the product with a damp cloth. Wait again and again do the same, but with a new clean rag. After a few more minutes, wipe the carpet with a dry piece of cloth. This method of cleaning allows you to get rid of fatty spots, and you can use it even on natural nap. How to collect mercury from a carpet?
Degrees can be broken - this is quite normal, especially if the apartment has children. It is clear that you need to keep them in a safe place, but sometimes you will not keep track of everything. But if on the carpet mercury from the broken thermometer is collected simply enough, for example, you can do this with a small piece of tape, then remove the dangerous balls from the sofa, carpet or any other porous surface - it's not an easy task. So, how to collect mercury from the carpet?
If the thermometer is broken on the carpet, first of all, take the children out of the room and try not to step on this place yourself, so as not to smash the small balls around the apartment. Do not use a vacuum cleaner! All cleaning should be done manually only. After all, with a vacuum cleaner you will not only suck glass fragments, but also metal mercury, after which the device will start throwing out its vapors. In addition, due to the electric motor, they will heat up, which will significantly increase the concentration of mercury vapor in the room. It is very dangerous!
If the option - throw a carpet, you do not fit, because it's a pity for an expensive product, you can try to carefully collect mercury from it. First, wear a respirator or gauze bandage moistened in water, open the windows in the room, and close the doors, so that the mercury vapor does not spread through the apartment.
Prepare a jar of water that is tightly closed with a lid, a brush, a paper envelope and a rag. You will also need a rubber pear, a wet newspaper, an adhesive plaster or an adhesive tape. Use a brush to remove large balls from the carpet, put them in a paper envelope. Smaller balls are removed from the carpet, using a rubber pear. If it is difficult to consider the balls, use a flashlight, but do not keep it too close to the floor so that it does not heat up the mercury with its light. The smallest mercury balls must be collected with adhesive tape or adhesive plaster.
