What is required for this job:

• Form - any object of square shape that will allow the product to have a given silhouette: a vase, a box, a can, a box, a toy and so on. Choose the object that suits you in size.
• Newspapers - any newspaper sheets, double desirable.
• Pins - conventional or clerical, are needed for fixing during the weaving of the basket.
• Scissors - for work
• Adhesive - dry or PVA for fixing and twisting the tubes.

How to weave a basket:

• Align the newspaper sheet
• Take the skewer and lay it to the edge of the newspaper sheet.
• Wrap the newspaper sheet and start twisting, tightly folding the sheet.
• The newspaper paper should be greased with glue to be folded and fixed.
• If PVA was used, allow the twisted tubules to dry a little.
• Cut out the base for the basket, square: large or small.
• Glue the tubes to the base and secure with pegs, allow to dry completely.
• Remove the clothespins and glue the second square( exactly the same), press and secure. Allow to dry.
• Place the mold on top of the bottom and start the weave by tying each vertical tubule horizontally.
• The weave looks very seamless, because you should not weave a few tubes. Each time you glue several tubes into one long strip, which you are working on.
• The tips of the protruding tubes are pressed to the form with the clothespins
• . During the weaving it is necessary to use the patterns to create a pattern and gently insert the edges of the tubes inside.

You do not need to buy a beautiful Easter basket, you can weave it yourself from the available materialla - newspaper tubes. These baskets can be filled with Easter treats and given to your loved ones. Depending on how many treats you want to put inside or what skill you have, there are several schemes and ways to make such a product.

IMPORTANT: The weave is similar to the previous tutorial, however, to create such a basket you should not use cardboard for the bottom, but a round shape( dish or deep plate), which you will tie.

In order to create a small basket with a handle, you need about 90-100 tubes, which should be twisted in advance. Allow the tubes to dry out and only then proceed to work:

• Weave 8 tubules together with the double cross
• Begin circular tying to make the base
• Lay over the bound small round bottom base-shape.
• Tie it up, lengthening the tubes and creating patterns( you should use the weaving patterns for this).
• To ensure that the product is neat and even, you should fasten the tubules vertically, pinching the clothespins to the edge of the mold.
• The handle for the basket is knitted separately by braiding a braid from several tubes at once( see photo).
