Roasted corn is a very tasty dish that is suitable for both picnic and home-made meals. And you can cook it even if you have at your disposal not whole cobs, but only golden grains.
Cooking recipes in a frying pan
For cooking popcorn in a frying pan, the most suitable are the young cobs - milk. They are very juicy and soft, and therefore will have time to prepare well without prolonged heat treatment. A fodder varieties and "adult" cobs have a much harder grain, which must be boiled for a long time or baked under a lid. When frying, such a product with a high probability simply burns up and does not have time to reach its full readiness.
With oil
To prepare this dish you will need:
- 3 young cobs;
- 200 ml of water;
- 45 g of butter;
- a couple tablespoons of olive oil;
- salt.
We clear the cobs from leaves and fibers, if necessary cut each into two parts. We put it in a frying pan and fry it in olive oil for five minutes on high heat, so that the grains are properly browned.
Important! For frying corn it is necessary to use a frying pan with a thick bottom!
Reduce the flow of gas, pour in water and continue to cook the corn until all the liquid has evaporated. Do not forget to turn over the heads from time to time, so that all grains are stained.
In a water bath, in a saucepan or in a microwave oven, melt the butter, slightly add salt to it. Finished cobs spread on a plate and with the help of a culinary brush evenly coated with their dressing. We serve to the table immediately.
With bacon
Ingredients required for a dish:
- 3 cob;
- 4 liters of water;
- 25 g of butter;
- 100 g of bacon;
- salt.
We release the cobs from leaves and fibers, put them in a pan, fill them with water, add salt and bring to a boil. As soon as the corn begins to boil, reduce the heat and cook it for 20 minutes. After the specified time, we take it out of the pan and drain it.
We spread the frying pan, put a piece of butter and fry in it until ruddy crust corn from all sides. Then add thin slices of bacon and fry for another 5-7 minutes - during this time the bacon will become crisp, and the cobs will absorb its flavor. We serve corn with fried bacon and dried toast.
With smoked cheese
For cooking fried corn with smoked cheese, it is best to use a grill pan. Products:
- a pair of cobs;
- a liter of milk;
- half a liter of water;
- a teaspoon of sugar;
- tablespoon of olive oil;
- 3 clove of garlic;
- 25 g of butter;
- several basil leaves.
We put garlic, smoked cheese, basil and melted butter in the blender bowl. Beat the ingredients to a homogeneous consistency. We fill the hot corn with fresh oil and immediately serve it.
Cooking recipes on the grill
This dish is an excellent option for a snack while relaxing in nature. Corn itself is an inexpensive and tasty product and is prepared very easily. On the grill it can be fried in leaves, without them or wrapped in foil.
Recommendation! If you are going to cook corn in leaves or foil, then the grill should be heated to a temperature of 180-200 ° C.At the same time, the heat must initially be strong, after which it is lowered - thus, the grate will be warmed as evenly as possible!

Ingredients of the dish:
- 4 cob;
- 45-50 g of butter;
- 130 g of salted oil;
- tablespoon of chili powder;
- juice is half a lemon.
Cooking marinade: in a small bowl, put softened butter, chili and lemon juice. Mix with a fork so that the components are connected.
Before sending the cobs to the grill, we clean them from leaves and fibers, soak about 10 minutes in water. Then cover with marinade and wrap each in a separate package, bending its tips, like a candy. We have corn on the grill and fry for 20 minutes, not forgetting to turn over from time to time.
Note! To understand that the corn is ready, it is necessary to carefully turn the edge of the foil and pierce several grains with a fork. If they are soft enough and clear juice comes out of them, then you can serve the cob!
Peeled cobs
Fry corn in this way very carefully, because there is a rather high risk of very burned grains. In addition, as a result, they are not as juicy as in the previous versions, but they have a characteristic flavor - with a haze, and an appetizing caramel crust, which is formed due to the sugars present in the corn.
Ingredients:
- corn cobs;
- half a liter of milk;
- half a liter of water;
- tablespoon of sugar.
We connect the milk in the bowl with water and sugar, spread the corn into it and leave it for an hour. After this period of time, take the cobs and boil them for 10 minutes.
Set the grill to medium, and if you grill refined corn on the grill for the first time, then on a weak fire and lay out the vegetables. Fry until golden spots appear on the grains.
Note! To the cobs are not burnt and had time to properly prepare, it is desirable to arrange them on the upper level of the grill!
Fried corn kernels
We will need the following ingredients:
- 4-5 cups of corn kernels;
- 55 ml of olive oil;
- 35 ml of balsamic vinegar;
- the fourth part of a teaspoon of black pepper in powder;
- 4-5 stems of green onion;
- a small bunch of basil;
- salt.
Prepare a marinade: mix balsamic, pepper, chopped onions of onion and basil in a tray, add half a teaspoon of salt. All mixed and poured grains. Close the container with a lid and let the corn be marinated. It will take about three hours.
After this time, open the tray and mix the contents. We make from the foil six identical sheets and put between them a slide of grains. Tightly turn off the edges of the sheets and pierce them through and through a few places with a wooden skewer. We send to the heated grill. Cook at high temperature for five minutes, after which we open the lid of the grill and shake the grains in the mittens in foil. We close the lid again and cook the corn for about 3-5 minutes. You can cook fried corn kernels in a frying pan. All the preparatory activities will be similar. With regard to directly frying, the grain should be kept in a frying pan with preheated olive oil under the lid for a quarter of an hour.
