And today we want to tell you how to make juice from gooseberries in a juice cooker, and what other methods exist for making it at home.
Methods of harvesting the juice
The fruits of gooseberry are rather juicy, however it is often very difficult to extract nectar from them. The thing is that these berries normally excrete it badly, and to improve the process, gooseberry should be heated or let them through the juicer. So, let's look at each method in more detail.
Using the
juicer There's nothing easier than getting juice from gooseberry juice through a juicer.
- We sort fruits, remove sepals and stems.
- We wash the berries in running water and let excess liquid drain.
- We grind them through the juicer.
- The resulting nectar is combined with sugar - 150-160 g per liter, put on the fire and bring the mixture to a boil.
- When the sugar completely disappears, turn off the fire and leave the drink until its temperature drops to 95 °, then pour it over sterilized bottles or jars and tightly clog.
Preparing the juice with the
sokovarka. In the brewing plant, the berries undergo heat treatment, so that their peel becomes softer and the juice exudes much more intensively.
- Pour 2.5 liters of water into a bowl of juice, and bring it to a boil.
- On the tank set the collector for the released nectar, on top the net with fruits and close all the casing.
Important! At the same time, make sure that the branch pipe is closed with a clamp!
- When the valve that was inserted into the opening of the casing, steam begins to break out, reduce the fire.
- We leave the cooker in working condition for an hour.
- After this time, turn off the fire and drain the juice into sterilized containers through a special tube.
Recommendation! The first liter of juice should be poured back into the sovochark, as this lot will not be sterile!
- When the whole beverage is distributed in jars, cover them with sterile lids, seal it tightly and wrap it in a blanket for a long cool.
The squeezes that remained in the juice processor can also be used. To them, add sugar, about 100 grams per kg of scrap, and boil for about half an hour. Then the gas supply is turned off and the apparatus is left overnight. This exposure allows you to extract juice, which is most often used for jelly, compote or syrup.
Tip! If the juice is not extracted from the remaining squeezes, then jam or jam is prepared from them.
Gooseberry juice - simple recipe
The easiest way to get juice from gooseberry is as follows:
- Berries are sorted and washed.
- We install a large container on the fire, pour water into it and heat up to 80 ° C.
- In the hot water we lower gooseberries and continue to heat the contents of the pan for 20-30 minutes.
- During preparation, you will get a drink that must be poured over sterile cans and canned.
You can lighten the drink prepared with this recipe with a lemon. For each liter of water add one lemon( sugar is not necessary!), Then pour the liquid into bottles and store for 2 weeks under plastic or nylon caps. At the end of this time, the nectar is filtered and poured over jars or bottles of dark glass.
Such a log can be stored until the next harvest, but the longer the storage time lasts, the more expressive will be the taste of the lemon. Therefore, it is desirable to add sugar to such a drink before use.
