Surely you have ever heard that your eyes can dry up! Xerophthalmia is a syndrome of dryness of the mucous membranes of the eye - the cornea and conjunctiva.
It develops due to insufficient production of tear fluid and leads to the drying of the conjunctiva and the appearance of white spots on it.
The cornea loses its luster, becomes turbid, the vessels grow into it. Patients are disturbed by the feeling of rubbing, sand in the eyes, photophobia, visual acuity decreases.
Xerophthalmia may result from chemical burns, keratoconjunctivitis, hypovitaminosis A, trachoma, Sjogren's disease, etc.
This condition requires additional use of drugs that replace natural sources of moisturizing the mucous membranes. Such a drug is Vidisik. You can learn more about it from this article.

Thus Vidisik is able to retain water on the surface of the mucous membranes of the eye, creating a protective transparent film.
Thanks to such properties, Vidisik moisturizes the cornea and conjunctiva, removes the symptoms of xerophthalmia( itching, burning, dryness, photophobia).
Another important property is the effect on the repair of damaged epithelium .Vidisik evenly distributed over the surface of mucous membranes, gradually removed when blinking. On average, the drug is on the surface of the mucous membranes of the eye for 1.5 hours after insertion into the conjunctival sac.
Contraindications
The only contraindication to the use of this ophthalmic drug is an allergy to those substances that are part of the gel.
Method of application
The drug is intended for administration to the lower conjunctival sac. It is necessary to instill 1 drop in each conjunctival sac from 3 to 5 times during the day. The last application is recommended to be performed half an hour before bedtime.
When wearing contact lenses, it is necessary to remove the latter before using the drug. You can wear lenses on average 15 minutes after instilling eye Vidisikom.
Recommend to abandon the use of soft contact lenses, prefer them to solid. If several medications are used for treatment, which must be instilled in the conjunctival sac, it should not be administered simultaneously.
The interval between the introduction of different drugs into the conjunctival sac should be from 5 minutes, if the second preparation is in the form of drops, and up to 15 minutes if it is an ophthalmic ointment.
Side effects of
Vidisik can cause allergic reactions, burning sensation, transient visual impairment immediately after instillation.
If you develop an allergic reaction to the drug, you should immediately stop using it and consult a specialist doctor.
During the treatment with Vidisik eye gel, it is necessary to limit potentially hazardous activities requiring constant attention, as well as to avoid driving vehicles if possible.
