Hypromellose is referred to as a protector of the epithelium of the cornea, which has a lubricating and softening effect with a decrease in the secretion of tear fluid.

Indications for use
The drug is indicated for the following abnormalities in vision:
- eyelid deformation,
- lagophthalmus,
- insufficient lachrymation( dry eye syndrome),
- discomfort as a result of plastic surgery for centuriesx
- as a remedy after thermal or chemical burns of the conjunctiva and cornea,
- trophic ulcers on the cornea,
- keratopathy,
- bullous corneal changes,
- recovery after keratoplasty or keratectomy,
- in keratosis,
- eye irritation caused by exposure to smoke, dust, cold, wind, sun, salt water, etc.,
- allergic reactions,
- for disinfecting tear fluid,

Contraindications to the use of the drug
This drug has some contraindications for use:
- marked hypersensitivity to the substances making up the drug,

Side effects
The use of hypromellosis can cause the following undesirable reactions:
- allergy to the components that are included in the preparation,
- feeling of gluing the eyelids( since a drug solution of sufficiently high viscosity),
- short blurred vision after direct use,
- burning sensation in the eye,
- irritation of the mucous membrane.
Application and dosing
Hypromellose is instilled locally, the usual dose is 2 drops 8 times a day in the conjunctival sac. If necessary, you can drip every 2 drops. The course of treatment is 2 weeks.

Special instructions
Before using this medication, the following guidelines should be observed:
- Contact lenses before instillation should be removed and installed no earlier than40 minutes after the direct administration of the drug.
