National Kalmyk cuisine

The difference between the Kalmyk cuisine and other national cookery is that it is not distinguished by a great variety of food products. In addition, it was strongly influenced by the fact that Kalmyks have been living a nomadic life since ancient times. The main products Kalmyks use for food and mainly on the basis of which they prepare their national dishes are milk and meat( beef and lamb).Some Kalmyk tribes living near the river use food based on fresh fish.

Favorite drinks of Kalmyks
