Many parents try to determine the sex of their unborn child by the day of ovulation, blood type, last menstruation, etc. And in the gynecologist's office, the question is often asked about on what day after the end of menstruation it is possible to become pregnant with a boy.
As practice shows, none of the methods guarantees a 100% result. However, this does not in any way affect the popularity of alternative planning methods. Armed with calendars or typing their data into an online calculator, parents-to-be rejoice at any outcome. After all, in the end, it doesn't matter who is born, the main thing is that the child is healthy. However, you can reduce the risk of an erroneous indicator if you use several methods at once.
What determines the gender of the child
When the egg cell ready for fertilization meets the sperm cell, they merge. After that, each cell receives an equal set of chromosomes (each with 23). Male sex is determined by chromosomes XY female - XX.
The egg always contains only half of the female set of X. The sperm contains half of the genetic information of the father, but it can contain both X and Y. This means that the sex of the child depends on the sperm.
Determining the sex of the child by the date of the last menstruation
It is not difficult to calculate the sex of the future heir if you know what date it began and when the last menstruation ended. But as experience shows, not all expectant mothers maintain a “cycle calendar”. And having learned about their pregnancy, non-prudent girls cannot remember the correct date.
In order not to be in a similar situation, every woman should keep an ovulation calendar, which, during pregnancy, performs the functions of a table that determines the sex of the child by the last menstruation.
Having written out the cherished dates on a piece of paper, you can proceed to the calculations. For this, any of the following gender determination methods will work.
Option 1
Knowing the day when the last menstruation began and the date of their end, you can determine the month of conception and the sex of the unborn child.
It is enough to correctly calculate by the formula:
- Month of conception + age of the expectant mother + 1
- An odd number means a boy will be born;
- Odd is a girl.
Let's give an example: a 20-year-old girl became pregnant in December (12 + 20 + 1 = 33) - they found an odd number, which means a boy will be born. Women who tested this technique rated its accuracy at 50%.
Option 2
The monthly cycle calendar will allow you to determine the sex of the unborn child with maximum accuracy. During the year, the expectant mother makes a table (monthly calendar), measures the basal temperature and marks the data in the graph.
Once you've finished collecting information, you can calculate your ovulation period. In the middle of the menstrual cycle, basal temperature indicators reach their maximum (37 C), and then decline. Ovulation occurs at the time of peak values - everything is obvious here.
There is a date of conception, it remains to determine the sex of the child. If intercourse happened on the days of ovulation, the period when the mature egg is ready for fertilization, you can confidently prepare for the upcoming motherhood.
But pregnancy can happen after, namely, within the next 5 days. This is how long sperm containing female chromosomes live. Motile sperm with a male "charge" of chromosomes are less tenacious, so conception is possible a day before or during ovulation.
To summarize: those who want to conceive a girl need to have sex 5 days before ovulation. For those dreaming of a boy, it is better to focus their efforts on the day before ovulation.
Option 3
If you don't want to keep a paper calendar or mess around with calculations, you can resort to using Internet resources. You can determine the sex of the unborn child using a table or an online calculator, focusing on the last menstruation.
The method is borrowed from the Chinese pregnancy calendar. The result depends on the age of the expectant mother and the month of conception. In the form windows you need to enter your parameters, click "calculate" and find out the gender of your baby.
Alternative techniques
If you cannot calculate by the last monthly, but really want to know who will be born (boy or girl), you can use the following methods:
Destiny number + table
To calculate the number of fate, the dates of birth of the parents are parsed into separate numbers. We find: 12/10/1979 and 09/24/1976 = 1 + 1 + 2 +1 + 9 + 7 + 9 + 2 + 4 + 9 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 6 = 72; 72 = 7 + 2 = 9 is the required number. It remains to determine the month of conception and enter the data into the table.
The vertical line is the number of fate, the horizontal line is the month of conception. At the intersection of the indicators, a letter appears that determines the sex of the child: D - girl, M - boy.
It happens that the dates of birth of mom and dad are the same. Couples with this trait, who have tested this test for themselves, claim that the result rarely does not coincide with the sex of the newborn.
If the number of destiny is divisible by 2, the probability of the birth of twins is high. There are cases when, with the indicator M, only one male baby was born, and his twin was a girl.
Parents' blood type and baby's gender
To order a girl or a boy, it is enough to know the blood types and rhesus of the future parents. Thus, even at the stage of pregnancy planning, the sex of the joint child is determined. The technique is based on some observations and tactics, the results of which are presented in the tables:
Blood renewal
Renewal, rejuvenation of tissues, mucous membranes and blood occurs throughout life, with a certain frequency. Men are renewed every 4 years, women - every 3 years. If the mother's blood is renewed earlier than the father's, then a boy will be born (and vice versa).
How to calculate? Divide the age of the future father by 4 - this will be the approximate date of the last blood update.
We calculate: 33: 4 = 8 and 1 in the remainder - the age of the blood is 1 year.
We calculate: the expectant mother is 27 years old, which means that 27: 3 = 9 - the blood has only renewed itself, and, therefore, is younger than the father's.
And also, if you enter the dates of birth of the parents and the estimated date of conception in the table, you can find out the gender of the planned child.
Those who have tried this technique on themselves claim that the correct result is obtained only in half of the cases.
Attention! Blood transfusions, as well as large blood loss, are perceived as "last update" dates.
How to schedule the gender of a newborn with IVF
There are women who are unable to conceive and give birth without IVF. Many of them dream of a child of a certain gender, but not everyone knows on what day after menstruation it is possible to become pregnant with a boy, and on which girl.
In order not to guess on the coffee grounds, you can contact a specialist who will prescribe sperm fractionation. Usually this procedure is carried out for medical reasons, when a child of a certain gender can inherit a dangerous pathology.
The essence of the technique is in the processing of the father's seminal fluid and dividing it into two parts with opposite-sex chromosomes.
Folk wisdom
Folk omens, tested by time and the experience of ancestors, are still popular. The more truthful ones include:
- severe toxicosis - to the boy;
- chills - to the boy, throws in a fever - to the girl;
- a pregnant woman is getting prettier - towards the boy;
- the amount of body hair increased - towards the boy;
- the woman hides her "interesting position" for a long time - towards the girl;
- whims - to the girl;
- a man prone to baldness to wait for an heir;
- a pregnant woman cannot eat meat and salty - to the boy;
- high, blooming belly - to the girl.
There are many methods, accepts and methods of planning a child, a boy and a girl. Everyone chooses something that is acceptable to themselves: an online calculator is suitable for someone, someone plans the sex of the child even before pregnancy, someone calmly trusts the ultrasound results.
Having studied the comments of the mothers giving birth and calculating the sex of the child, we can conclude: no method gives 100% probability. However, you can confirm or refute the result obtained if you undergo an ultrasound examination of the fetus at the 20th week of pregnancy. Although, as life shows, even the genders visible on the ultrasound screen may turn out to be only a fragment of the umbilical cord and a beautiful daughter will be born instead of the expected boy.
