Canadian dentists have proposed a simple solution to the problem of not being able to brush your teeth every time you eat. They assure that in this case it is best to turn to rinsing the mouth, but not with special formulations, but with ordinary milk.
It is important to clean your teeth after eating so that food debris does not become a breeding ground for bacteria. However, when a person does not have the opportunity to do this fully, plain milk can act as a suitable purifier. This conclusion was made on the basis of a series of experiments carried out by Canadian scientists.
During the test, volunteers were asked to rinse their mouths after eating with various liquids. It is about fruit juice, water and milk. Scientists quickly found that the juice is not suitable for this purpose, since it is highly acidic, and, accordingly, it has a bad effect on tooth enamel. The water did better with the cleaning task.
However, the real leader in terms of the amount of "garbage" removed from the mouth was milk. When saliva was collected from the participants for testing, it turned out that the level of microorganisms after rinsing the mouth with milk becomes as low as possible in this situation.
It is worth noting that one of the recent studies found confirmation that pathogenic bacteria that accumulate on poorly cleaned teeth can cause heart diseases.
