The deep fryer refers to household appliances, which, compared to other appliances, are not too widespread in our kitchens. However, for fans of French fries and crisp on meat, fish or mushrooms, a deep fryer can become simply irreplaceable.

Important characteristics of the deep fryer

The main indicator on which depends on how quickly the oil warms up and, accordingly, the dish is prepared - the power. The maximum capacity of a modern fryer reaches a value of 3000 W with an oil volume of up to five liters. The device that holds less oil has less power, so it's better to decide how often you will use this unit before buying. In some models there is a temperature regulator, which will expand the range of dishes that can be cooked in it.

It is important that the purchased device is equipped with a filter, which will limit the spread of odors around the apartment during frying and relieve the oil vapor. Filters are stationary and removable. The latter type of filter allows not only to retain odors, but also to clean oil from impurities when preparing various products.

An important component of the device is a bowl: enameled or non-stick coating. Some models are equipped with a special small window to control the frying process. The capacity of the bowl from one to five liters, depends on the preferences of customers. It is advisable to choose a removable bowl so that it is easier to wash. Inside the bowl is inserted a reticulated basket. When preparing the dish, the products are first laid in the basket and then roasted.

The type of control in the deep fryer is mechanical and electronic, which gives you the opportunity to obtain additional information about the state of the filter and the amount of oil remaining.

The heating element of the device is similar to that used in an electric kettle. It can be disk and in the form of a spiral. The first option is more convenient to use, because it allows you to easily wash the bowl of oil. In modern models, a cold bottom system is provided, which allows economical use of the oil and prevents the products from sticking.

Dishes that are cooked in the deep fryer are quite high-calorie and can add a few extra pounds. At the same time, this device is able to make a difference in the culinary life of any family, but it is not worth using the dishes cooked in it.
