- Radish, carrots, beets and other root vegetables should be stored in well-ventilated areas, preferably in trellised boxes. In summer, you can keep them on the loggia, if there is one, and when it gets cold outside, you need to move them to a cool place, away from batteries and other heating appliances.
- Cabbage is best stored in suspended form, as it intensively evaporates moisture. The most convenient is to place it in a grid, not breaking off the leaves - then they will protect the cabbage from moisture. - Storing tomatoes: tomatoes will remain fresh for a long time if each individual tomato is wrapped in paper, packed in a basket or other container. Choose green tomatoes without damage, after a while they will mature themselves. You can store tomatoes in the old manner - in felt boots.
- Cucumbers should be stored in the refrigerator in a tightly closed container, like sweet peppers. You can keep them in a special department for storing vegetables.
