The drug has the following contraindications for use:
- is not recommended for use in cases of congenital glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency;
- is not used for the treatment of premature babies, or for children under 2 months of age, in this case, Argosulfan may trigger the development of so-called "nuclear" jaundice;
- the patient has a shock condition after voluminous burns;

Special application of
Argosulfan is intended for external use - it can be worn on affected areas of the skin both in an open form and with the use of sterile dressings. The affected surface must be thoroughly rinsed and treated with an antiseptic, after which it should be applied with a thick layer of at least 3 mm thick.
The medicinal preparation is applied to the surface affected by a trophic ulcer no more than 3 times a day. If during the day the cream is wiped off from any area of the wound, it is applied repeatedly. The entire affected area should be covered with Argosulfan. The maximum allowable daily allowance of the drug is not more than 25 mg.
In some cases, during the treatment on the surface of the wound may collect exudate - it must be carefully removed before each application of the cream. To remove accumulated exudate, it is recommended to use chlorhexidine or a solution of boric acid.
The duration of treatment is determined on an individual basis. The maximum permissible period of application of Argosulfan should not exceed 8 weeks, otherwise permanent medical monitoring is necessary.
