The drug also has an analgesic effect, helping to reduce the severity of the pain syndrome that accompanies inflammation, and the presence of silver ions in the drug, several times increases the bactericidal effect of the drug.

Pharmacokinetics of medicament
With the local use of Argosulfan for a long period of time, a stable high level of active substances remains in the application area due to the fact that silver sulfatiazole is characterized by minimal dissolution indices.
A small amount of drug enters the bloodstream, which is then acetylated in the liver, after which it is excreted in the urine in the form of inactive metabolites. It should be remembered that when applied to a large area of damage, the absorption of the drug is significantly increased.

Mechanism of action

This exposure provokes a disruption of the normal synthesis of dihydrophilic acid, as well as tetradihydrofolic acid, which acts as its active metabolite. Ultimately, the process of synthesizing purines and pyrimidines in the pathogenic cell is disrupted - and the pathogenic microorganism is killed.
