Ingredientspreparation
Composition of preparation:
- active component - hydrosmin( refers to flavonoids);
- auxiliary substance - magnesium stearate;
- capsule composition : quinoline yellow U104, erythrosine, titanium dioxide, gelatin.
The drug is a group of angioprotectors, it is a capillary stabilizing agent.
Venosmil reduces permeability and traumatism of capillaries, reduces blood viscosity, improves venous walls, speeds up lymph flow. The drug reduces puffiness in the legs, relieves pain syndrome in chronic venous insufficiency.
Is a venotonic and venoprotective agent.
Pharmacokinetics of the preparation
After a single dose, the following is observed: the concentration of the active component in the blood is biphasic.
The highest concentration is observed fifteen minutes after taking the drug and gradually begins to fall slowly. After four hours, the concentration increases again, a stable value is reached between the fifth and the eighth hour after administration.
Active substance is withdrawn quickly enough - about 90% is withdrawn within two days. It is excreted mainly with feces( up to 80%), the rest is excreted by the kidneys.
In the course of metabolism, phenolic acids are formed. The active substance accumulates in the veins of the legs, in smaller amounts - in the tissues of the kidneys, liver and lungs.
Selective accumulation of hydrodesmin in the veins is achieved nine hours after admission and is retained for the next four days.
Indications and contraindications for use
The agent is used to temporarily alleviate the symptoms accompanying chronic venous insufficiency:
- edema;
- heaviness in the legs;
- nocturnal cramps;
- trophic ulcers;
- pain( incl. With hemorrhoids).
Indication for admission is hemorrhoids in acute and chronic form.
Contraindications:
- sensitivity to the components of the agent;
- thyroid disease;
- age to 18 years;
- pregnancy, lactation.
Mechanism of action
Venous is provided with:
- angioprotective;
- is a vein-strengthening;
- is decongestant;
- anti-inflammatory effect.
The drug stabilizes the lysosomal cell membranes, stops the release of cellular enzymes that break down proteoglycans, reduces the fragility of capillaries, prevents the formation of thrombi, increases the tone of the veins.
The operating mechanism of hydroscm is poorly studied, but it can be attributed to the inhibition of degradation of catecholamines.
Despite the lack of information, four main pharmacological groups of action stand out:
- effect on the permeability of ( reduced permeability and fragility of capillaries);
- effect on hemorheological properties of red blood cells ( increase in the ability of erythrocytes to deform, decrease in blood viscosity);
- effect on the tone of veins ( contraction of smooth muscles of the venous walls);
- formation of suitable conditions for improvement of lymph flow ( dilatation of lymphatic ducts).
Dosage and method of application
For chronic venous insufficiency and to prevent exacerbation of hemorrhoids take two capsules twice a day during meals.
A week later, go to two tablets once a day. The course of treatment is determined by the doctor and depends on the form and course of the disease. The average duration of admission is two to three months.
With an exacerbation of hemorrhoids: six capsules a day for the first four days, then four more capsules a day for three days. The course does not last long.
When exacerbated, venous smear can not replace specific therapy.
Taking medication for three months with pauses in treatment in one to two months for up to two years is recommended for people with chronic venous insufficiency.
No cases of overdose have been reported, since the possibility of intoxication is virtually eliminated.
Possible adverse reactions
Possible adverse reactions:
- indigestion, dyspepsia, nausea with vomiting, abdominal pain( gastrointestinal tract);
- autonomic disorders: dizziness, headaches, general weakness( from the central nervous system);
- itching, cracks, rashes( from the skin).
Special instructions
The product does not affect the reaction speed, therefore does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or dangerous machinery. However, when side reactions occur, special care must be taken.
Exposure to the body when taken with alcohol is unknown, so during treatment, alcoholic beverages must be excluded.
Precautions should be taken when the liver and kidney function is impaired. There were no drug interactions with other drugs.
Use in pregnancy and lactation
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, taking the drug is not advisable, because there are no clinical studies on the use of the drug in this period.
Pre-clinical studies show no direct or indirect adverse effects on fetal development or pregnancy course.
Taking the drug during pregnancy is allowed if the expected health benefits for the mother exceed possible risks to the fetus.
There is no information about the penetration of the components of the product into breast milk, so doctors do not prescribe it during lactation. If there is a need for treatment, breastfeeding should be stopped.
At the moment there is no information about the occurrence of adverse reactions in pregnant women with the drug.

The opinion of the doctor
I recommend my patients to take Venosmil in addition to the main hemorrhoid treatment regimen. In all who take this drug, the symptomatology disappears much faster, patients note a rapid decline in puffiness and a reduction in pain.
I also prescribe the drug for prevention of exacerbations: remission in such patients is more prolonged. With neglected forms, the drug will not help, more radical methods are more likely to be required here.
Kirill Sergeevich
The word to patients
I accept the remedy for two years already - I was prescribed by my doctor. The drug works well for heaviness in the legs, swelling and other unpleasant sensations.
I also had vascular "stars" on my legs, from them the remedy, unfortunately, does not help. The doctor insists on a detailed examination, but I'm delaying this moment. The only drawback for me is the cost. The pack cost me 1500 rubles.
Valentine
Venousmil advised me to take a doctor. I have chronic venous insufficiency. I accept exactly according to the scheme: two capsules once a day. The first week I drank four capsules. Improvements came very quickly: within a week the legs began to swell less, the pains did not completely pass, but they began to worry much less often. Finish the course - and then we'll see how the doctor says.
Saw the tablet of Venosmil with exacerbation of hemorrhoids. After two or three days it became much better. The price at them comprehensible, me all as a whole arranges.
Sergey
According to the patients, Venosmil has no special drawbacks, except for the cost. The price of a two-pack course of Venosmila goes to 3000 rubles, and for those who are shown a long reception in one year or two years, treatment will cost several times more.
