Adenomyosis is an abnormal development of the uterine mucosa, when its cells cross the deeper layers of the organ and there exist. This is one of the varieties of endometriosis, in which there is a similar process, but it affects not only the space of the main female organ, having a chance to go to the ovaries, intestines, other areas. Therefore, the adenomyosis code for μb 10 was obtained in the corresponding subsection under No. 80.0 and adjoins with other cases of malaise.

Effect of adenomyosis on the reproductive system
The uterus consists of several layers with a clear distinction. Only one of them is characterized by regular obvious changes - the endometrium, more precisely, its functional part. During the period of menstruation, it is updated, that is, old cells exfoliate from it and new ones form.
In case of abnormalities in the body, the second process begins to go more intensively, and the endometrial tissue penetrates into the myometrium. As a result, this layer of the organ carries degenerative changes. Therefore, adenomyosis μB 10 classifies as a systemic disease. It affects most functions of the reproductive organs and well-being.
Varieties of adenomyosis
The disease can take several forms, develop to different levels. There are three types of it:
- Diffuse. With it, the cells of the mucosa form foci of different depths in the thickness of the myometrium;
- Nodal. In this case, endometrial tissue seeps through the protective membrane, forming corridors. Then they begin to intensively divide, spreading in the myometrium to form nodules wrapped from the outside with a connecting material, and from inside filled with a brown liquid;
- Mixed. This kind of internal endometriosis is diagnosed more often than others and is a mix of diffuse proliferation of tissue and nodal.
Whatever category belongs to adenomyosis in a particular case, the code for μB 10 will be No. 80.0.
Degree of spread of the disease
The level of development of internal endometriosis is determined by the penetration depth of mucosal particles into the myometrium and happens:
- Primary. Endometrial cells reach the upper limit of the muscular layer of the uterus, making in it depressions. The organ itself does not change;
- Secondary. Pathological growths are found up to the central part of the myometrium. It becomes thicker, more prominent, and the uterine cavity loses its normal elasticity;
- Third-rate. Endometrium affects the thickness of the uterus to the serous layer, because of which in the structure and on the outside of the organ are visible altered areas. The walls expand noticeably;
- Fourth degree. Cells like the constituents of the uterine mucosa are arranged beyond its boundaries, on the peritoneum or closely located organs.
Symptoms of adenomyosis
Adenomyosis per μB will be exposed if there are distinguishing signs. Endometrial tissue that has grown in the deep layers has properties similar to those that are healthy and developing in its place. Therefore, the symptoms of the disease concern changes in menstruation:
- They acquire a greater duration;
- The volume of excretions increases;
- There are bleeding and other than menstruation;
- It is preceded by daubs 2-3 days before the start and ends with it;
- occur with increased pain, provoke severe weakness, sometimes nausea.
If adenomyosis has spread
Cells of the uterine mucosa are able to expand their field of presence beyond the body. Then the disease in the statistical reporting is classified differently, depending on the location. Endometriosis code for μb 10 total has under No. 80. There is a narrower definition of the place of the disease:
- on the ovaries. If the endometrial cells enter the cortical layer of the glands and linger there, its foci develop in this zone. When menstruating, the areas separate their contents, causing pain. Over time, foci can turn into endometrioid cysts. But at the first stage the malaise falls under the classification under No. 80.1;
- On the fallopian tubes. The presence of endometrial cells in this part of the reproductive system can not be known to a woman before pregnancy planning. Endometriosis of the fallopian tubes closes their lumen, interferes with the movement of the oocyte, leading to infertility. Sometimes this type of illness informs itself of pain during critical days or during sex. His number in the classification of 80.2;
- On the pelvic peritoneum. This thin film, which protects the organs located in the cavity, signals the appearance on it of endometrial cells with severe pain on critical days, as well as bloating, constipation. The code in classification No. 80.3;
- In the area between the cervix and rectum, into the vagina. Retrotservikalny endometriosis worries pain in the abdomen, giving in the rectum. They increase with defecation, with the same process and outside the menstrual bleeding may occur. During sex, the appearance of pain can not be ruled out. The code for this type of disease is No. 80.4;
- On the intestine. This localization of endometriosis is indicated by μB under No. 80.5.Cells of the uterine mucosa take root on the walls of the intestine, develop there, causing a painful stool, the appearance of blood in the feces, disrupting the body as a whole. With such endometriosis, there is an alternation of constipation and diarrhea;
- On healed postoperative sutures. The tissues of the uterine mucosa are able to spread in the area of the scar resulting from surgery, for example, on the organ itself after cesarean, or the vagina. Healed seam is covered with a red film and bleeds during menstruation. This type of disease has no. 80.6;
- On other organs. Foci or nodes of endometriosis can settle in the lungs, on the bladder, in a word, within any part of the body. If the location of the cells of the mucosa does not fall into the descriptions of the previous headings, it is entered into code No. 80.8.
We recommend reading the article about the possibility of pregnancy with adenomyosis. You will learn about the probability of conception in the presence of a disease, the use of medications and surgical intervention, possible complications with pregnancy.
Endometriosis and adenomyosis are included in the subsection that unites non-inflammatory diseases of the female reproductive system.
Consequences of internal and external endometriosis are also able to go beyond the boundary of the section mentioned, because it can cause infertility, anemia, neoplasms on the ovaries and even a cancerous tumor if the process is not stopped at the initial stage.
