To keep the mouth in order, there are many different means: toothpaste or powder, rinse, dental floss and, of course, a brush. All these simple adaptations help to make the breath fresh, but every now and again the smell returns.
However, we should not rush to find a miracle cure, because, perhaps, some of the products are to blame. After all, with a probability of 80%, an unpleasant smell appears precisely because of them.
Onion and garlic
First and foremost, this is a well-known to each onion and garlic. Not surprisingly, these vegetables were at the top of the list, because their comprehensive "fragrance", from which it is fantastically difficult to get rid of, is well known to everyone. There is an explanation for this.
Garlic, for example, does not just leave its odorous particles in the oral cavity, but its compounds are even absorbed into the blood, and from there they reach the nasal sinuses and lungs after a certain time. A surprising fact, but the compounds contained in garlic, even fall into the skin, and it can give off the smell of bitterness.
Like garlic, the aromatic compounds of onions also retain their durability for a long period of time and work on the same principle, first getting into the blood, and then returning as a smell from the mouth.
But this is not the reason to completely abandon these healthy and immune vegetables. The smell of onions and garlic can be overcome with the help of toothpaste with menthol and rinse. However, before an important meeting, it is better not to tempt destiny and temporarily restrict oneself from the use of these products.
Alcohol
The next product on the list that is responsible for bad breath is alcohol. It dries out the mouth cavity, which creates a favorable environment for the reproduction of bacteria.
Harmful combination - alcohol and cigarettes, although the latter are not food. The combination of cigarettes and alcoholic drinks dries the mouth in the shortest time and guarantees a stale breath.
Dairy products
It is also well-known for the peculiarity of dairy products to create in the mouth an acidic sensation, accompanied by an unpleasant odor. The reason for this is that milk and dairy products are a source of amino acids that, under the influence of anaerobic bacteria, are transformed into volatile sulfur compounds. It is they, settling on the surface of the mucous membranes of the mouth, begin to smell.
Sweets
Another enemy of fresh breath is candy. A pleasant taste of caramel in the mouth is not at all equivalent to perfect breathing.
The abundance of sugars and flavors only affect taste buds and promote the reproduction of bacteria that create sulfur. In turn, these bacteria can create sugar themselves, thereby causing a raid on the tooth enamel and around the gums. And this already leads not only to caries, but also to unpleasant breathing.
Acid products
Finally, we should mention acidic products, for example, orange and grapefruit juices. Possessing high acidity, these products negatively affect the mucous membrane of the mouth, disrupting the acid-base balance.
