Despite the tender and juicy taste that chicken meat possesses, it is not very convenient to use it in a public place. After all, like most of the meat dishes, the chicken is consumed with a fork in one hand and a knife in the other.
How to eat chicken in cafes, restaurants and other civil places?
- A chicken can be served to the table as a whole or as a slice. In the first case it is necessary to divide it into equal portions. First, separate the meat from the wings, then the hips and at the end proceed to the brisket. To quickly and easily cope with this difficult task, cut the chicken pieces into cartilages that are located under the shin, thigh and wing of the bird. The fork should be in the left hand, and in the right hand - a knife.
- Put the selected piece of bird on your plate. Then, holding it with a fork, separate the bone from the meat, cutting it in small pieces. After that, move the bone with the appliance to the edge of the plate. Only after this, according to the rules of etiquette, you can start eating.
- Often the dish is served with a special tank for washing your fingers. It is a bowl of water and a slice of lemon to remove the smell of food from your hands. In this case, you can finish the meat that was left on the bone, gently taking the bone with the forefinger and thumb. Pialu with water can replace wet napkins or paper hairpins-caps, which are worn on the tips of chicken legs. If such objects are absent, it is better not to use bone with the remaining meat.
- Chicken-tobacco, as a rule, is served as a whole. If there is such a dish in your menu, divide it according to the method described above: first separate the meat from the wings and hips, cut off all the meat from the brisket, and pivot the ossicles on the edge of the plate. After swallowing one piece, separate the next part. If a sauce is served to the meat, pour the chicken before cutting it. You can take pieces of a bird in your hands, if you served a bowl with water or wet wipes.
- If you decide to pamper yourself with a kettle in Kiev, gently prick it with a fork and then cut it. Sometimes the butter that is in it sprinkles in all directions.
