How to make a book in scrapbooking technique?

To create a book, you can use special sets, which have blanks, and the master has to do decoupage and decorating pages and covers. And you can create a book from scratch, but this will take more time and effort.

Below we present a master class on creating a book. It examines the basic nuances of production, the variations of playing around a particular style. But this is only the basics, as soon as you master them, you can endlessly experiment.

We do not need much to create a fabric cover:

Adhesive, scissors
Cardboard plain and with millimeter markings( sold in specialized stores)
Hatschevka and sintepon
Rings and eyelets

Weprepared master album class size of 30 * 30 cm, since this size is the most popular. You can create it at your discretion, substituting the required dimensions.

Cut from the cardboard square 30 * 30 cm

Apply to the sintepon and cut out the same square, glue the parts together.

Now cut out a square from the fabric, but here on each side we add a gap of 1-1.5 cm. We glue the fabric to the sintepon, bend the corners and also glue it.

We paste the booklet from the cardboard. The rear( more simple part) is ready. We pass to the one that is more complicated.

Cut out a square of the same size from the cardboard. We draw the cardboard, finding the middle. Cut the box under the photo or picture inside, we have 10 * 10 cm.

We outline on a sintepon, cut out and paste.

Let's move on to the fabric. Cut out again with a gap of 1-1.5 cm. Apply a blank of cardboard with a sintepon, circle the inner hole, and draw another rectangle 1.5 cm smaller on each side. Cut it out like in the photo( Step 3 upper right corner).

Gently glue the fabric to the sintepon, first glue near the window, then smooth it to the edges. Inside, the same gaps of 1.5 cm should remain.

Turn the workpiece, grease the edges of the fabric with glue and glue it on the reverse side as in the photo.

We paste a photo or a picture from the back side, we check that there were no gaps, the picture was located exactly.

We glue the reverse side with the cardboard-fly-door.

There are only a few touches left. At a distance of 2 cm from the edge, make holes and insert the eyelets. They only have to put on the rings and the cover is ready. If desired, you can continue to decorate it, but for the first time the work is done.

How do I make pages of a book in scrapbooking technology?

The shell is ready, but it's only part of the book. The main thing is pages. In them, the soul and meaning of the album. So, let's get started!

We need blank sheets. On a book of ten sheets, we need twenty sheets of cardboard 30 * 30 cm. We glue two sheets of each other with PVA glue. To evenly dry the bed under the press.

Next, it remains to deal with decoupage, depending on the style of the book.

Binding in the style of scrapbooking, master class

Cover and pages are ready. Immediately proceed to the binding. We cut strips 30 * 2.5 cm. They will be required to glue the pages together. Corners are cut as in the photo.

We paste the pages, laying under the press until it dries completely. To have the distance between the pages as in the photo, leave a uniform distance of 4 mm between the pages, and lay 6-7 cards between each page( to fix the position) before placing it under the press.

On the edge as in the photo, we lay the gauze full length and we work with glue. On the visible edges can be laid tape, braid, ruches, for aesthetics.

Cut out the spine from the thick paper( not cardboard).It can be both in the tone of the cover, and strikingly different. We glue it exclusively along the edges to the sheets, leaving a small gap on the butt. Otherwise, the view will be sloppy, and the pages will only open halfway.

Attaching the protruding layer of bandage to the cover( between the cover and the flyleaf), if there was a braid, thread and glue it. Thoroughly dry, and only then fill.

How to make a bookmark for the book scrapbooking?

Depending on the style of the book, it is possible to supplement it with a bookmark. Especially bookmarks are relevant in books executed in retro style or in the style of national motives. Below is the master class of the embroidered bookmark.

On the workpiece, embroider the front and back side of the tab, cut out with a gap of 1 cm.

Fold and stitch, grabbing the stitch on each side as in the photo. It turns out a strong and beautiful seam.
